Content warning: Arachnophobia [there's a couple of spiders in the "The 27th" set. First and second image.]
May was a busy month. A month with a lot of work, a lot of other work, a couple of new minor obsessions, and a good helping of rain. Needless to say... I didn't get out much.
The stars aligned, and I was able to meet up with a couple of friends for the first time in a while. We went to Kidwelly to try out a few different photography things, and have a walk around. First, the quay for macro. Then the town itself for "street photography". The others did street photography.
I chanced across a Cardinal Beetle in the garden - my first sighting! I had to rush to get the camera. I've joked previously with my friend about finally investing in a better macro setup, and things like this do make me want to take that further; the world immediately around us is just so full of _life_. It's nice to see that life in a way that's closer to how it might see itself.
