Content warning: Arachnophobia
While technically speaking Harvestmen aren't arachnids, many people still suffer arachnophobic reactions due to their similarity to spiders. The last two images in this gallery are of Harvestmen.

Much the same as the flash-based images in the August B gallery, these images were taken without a diffuser (material sourcing woes mean I am still diffuser-less). I think for the time being I've settled on the Tamron 90mm lens + 56mm extension tube stack, but I would like to at least try out something like the Laowa 100mm 2:1 lens for even more magnification.

Comparing these images with those of August B, it's clear I need a lot more practice with the flash to get any sort of decent consistency. Figuring out exactly how to use it properly would probably be a good idea, too. As it currently stands there's too much contrast. This will be affected by use of a diffuser, but it's probably best to get used to how to select a good level of light regardless.

One peculiar aspect of these images is that the majority of them were taken at f/29. Theoretically speaking, even with the flash each of these images ought to be too dark to make anything out, but... they aren't. I can't figure out why, but I feel like it might be best not to question it.
